About the event
Siân Quennell Torrington (she/her, Tangata Tiriti, Welsh, Pākeha) lives in Naenae, Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai / Lower Hutt. She is a queer femme artist. Siân brings warmth and permission to creative workshops where we can relax and play, finding our own ways of making things. Her drawings and sculptures are colourful and expressive, using lots of different materials supporting each other to make beautiful and complex wholes. Siân loves getting messy with charcoal and pastels, and seeing how we all do creativity differently. She has taught Queer trans drawing class for 7 years, and gets great joy from seeing people explore and recover their natural creativity.
